Wake Up, Wake Up

It is time to wake up the hay fields.I took these last week when the guys were working the fields.

I had just come home from work to find the guys and tractors still working away.

I sort of miss not seeing the farm work on a daily basis.
So it was nice to be able to capture this early spring work and to see the little green alfalfa plants as they start to awaken from their winter slumber.
Spring is on the way! Now if only the temperature would warm up a bit!
We had 70 degrees on Saturday, which was nice, but today was chilly and only in the high 40's!

It is that time of year!

I've been so moved by the generosity of the farmers in my Mom's hometown in rural eastern Oregon. My Aunt and Uncle are in Alaska with their son who was in a near-fatal auto accident and it's still touch and go for him. Their neighbors will be planting their crops so they can stay in Alaska as long as needed to help their son and his family. YOU know how much work it is to get the spring crops in. That they'd be so generous to add his work on top of their own has touched the whole family. That's the best of what small towns offer.

I hope you all have a fanastic growing season this year!

Whew! My eyes just about crossed trying to read the green font on the purple background. lol!

Anyway, terrific photos as usual. I love the views you see while you're out and about.

And it seems your weather is playing games there, too. Here's to warm, every day temps soon!

Oh Spring...it's a flighty little thing isn't it? We too had beautiful weather and then Sunday...bam....very windy and cold. I'm glad to see the pics of the fields in progress. I've often wondered how it was done.

Our grass is getting greener everyday and today is very sunny and supposed to get up to 69! I would love to open the windows and get fresh air moving through!

I love photos of tractors at work with followed by billows of dust! I hope you get some warmer weather soon. We could use some, too. Today is very windy and cold here; no fun to be outdoors.
