Windows & Weather

The day dawned bright and sunny. The weather forecast said we would hit 70 today. I decided to clean windows inside and out. Heaven knows they needed it! It really was a beautiful morning for being outdoors...even if I was cleaning windows. It really didn't take all that long to accomplish the job. Then I went about the rest of the house cleaning...or "house-blessing" as I like to call it (thanks to Flylady). I heard the wind pick up sometime around 3 p.m. It really started to blow.....dust!I went outside a bit ago to do a few chores...the temp has dropped, the wind is blowing still and this is what greeted me as I came around the side of the house........dark, stormy looking clouds! Figures.....every time I wash windows or the car it rains the next day!Well the windows are clean for now....guess I will go enjoy the view before the wind and rain make a mess of them again.

Ain't it the truth! God's way of playing a joke on us I think.

I don't do windows, if my husband can be talked into doing them...But it's true, clean windows and rain follows. I enjoyed reading your stories and will visit again. Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving such a nice comment. Have a fun-filled day!

That's why they invented curtains so you can close them and not look at the dirty windows.

70 DEGREES??????
How do YOU rate???
Come on now DesertHen...send the winds my direction for awhile...I'd take 30 minutes of 70 in exchange for a windy rainy squall!
We were without power off and all the past 3 days, and yesterday it came on at 2pm after being off for 11 hours...I was FREEZING all day and pretty grumpy too without my coffee!
(Heck,,I'd take 60 or 65 degrees!)

lol! Gail! SO true.

Hmmmm, maybe if I wash my car and windows we'll get some rain here. We sorely need it. The snow we got melted overnight into our parched ground.

Well if you haven't cleaned the inside of the windows, now with the rain storming outside, you can do that. lol!

My mom is a window cleaning maniac...she actually makes a special trip each year to clean mine! LOL! I try to talk her out of it, but she insists.

A "house blessing"....sounds like a wonderful idea! You were ambitious to get into the window-washing mood. I need that mood to come to me.

Nice photo of the clouds and mountains in contrast!

Seriously--bad juju to wash windows or cars---I use it often to explain the condition of these 2 things!
