Cold and Quiet

The cold and below zero temps have persisted for weeks!
The fog rolls in every morning and blankets the valley in a cold, frosty quiet!
The chickadees work over the tumbleweeds to get at the seeds.
The little birds didn't even fly when I stopped to take this shot.
I rolled down the window part way to snap the photo and that was a mistake as it didn't want to roll back up when I was done!
The weatherman says a "warming" trend is on the way.
Our lows will hover in the teens and our highs will reach the 30's.
The 30's will feel like a heatwave!

The pics reflect the very feeling of cold and dreary! :)

Is it March yet? This feels like it's been the longest January on record!

Eeek! The moment of panic would set in when the window refused to roll back up...especially with those frigid temps.
Your photos really convey the sense of cold, too.
We had the single digit temps for about 2 weeks and it's been in the upper 50's for the past week. Feel like Spring! And we even had rain yesterday...in January, instead of snow! That never happens!
