Then a nice long nap in a spot of afternoon sun!
You can't really see the spot of sun in the photo, but it was there and the cat was sure enjoying it!
I on the other hand won't be napping anytime soon!
I'm working this long weekend!
It's fair time here and since I'm in charge of the county 4-H program, I will be on the go all weekend!
I enjoy my job and this weekend is the culmination of a year of hard work on the part of all of the
4-H youth in the county program!
It is a joy to see how they have all grown, not just in height or age, but in responsibility, sportsmanship, compassion and how much their over-all life skills have expanded!
I'm proud of them all!
This activity filled weekend will keep me on my toes!
My body will ache and my feet and legs will protest all the running around, but in the end...
I will smile!
And then....come Monday...I will find my own patch of sun and take a nice long nap!

I love the fall fairs....Gosh, I haven't even been to one in a while.
You will be pooped for sure, but as you said, it'll be exciting too.Then you can catch that well deserved nap

4-H is so wonderful.
Many years ago we lent a miniature horse to a girl to train and show. After she won, we gave her the horse and the papers. The pair is still showing and still winning.
She had added more horses and is not such a little girl anymore but I like to think we helped the beginnings of her dreams.
