Yesterday, March 5, was a beautiful day.
The temp was in the 60's and breezy.
Last night the wind really picked up!
During the night I could hear it howling and banging things around outside!
This morning we woke up to this!
Snow!
Blowing snow!
Blowing sideways snow!
40 to 50 mph gusts!
So I'm home as I refuse to drive in to work in weather like this!
Call me what you will...chicken, wimp, pansy!
I call it cautious, prudent, safe!
If I can't see the road, then I sure as heck know others can't see me on it!
There is a house in this photo...but you can't see it!
Looking out my kitchen window. Blowing snow is sticking to the screen.
Looking toward the chicken coop.
You really can't tell from the photo, but the wind is whipping the snow all around!
The weather report is calling for it to be like this most of the day!
Unless something changes, I think a book and blanket are calling my name!

We were supposed to go to Reno today! I woke up at 5:30 saw the snow and went and told everyone to turn their alarm clocks off. We slept in until 7:30. And are now drinking up LOTS of hot cocoa! We'll wave out the window in your direction!
Wow! It is blowing to beat the band here but it is bringing us lovely 70+ degree weather and sunshine, so I won't gripe! Feels just like Kansas...in Missouri! :)
Enjoy your book, blankie and cocoa!
Oh yes! It was gorgeous yesterday..temps in the 70's! First time all winter I've been able to have my windows open. It was so warm! Perfect for my daughter's 9th birthday, too :)
Today it gusting and blowing, but thankfully no snow. They predict snow on Wednesday or Thursday, though.
Your photos make me shiver!!!
Enjoy that book while you're all cuddled up cozy in your blanket.

Sounds like you are experiencing the weather we just had the last 2 days.
Dumped 18 inches on us!!!!
We have been buried. So today my hubby brought out the big guns (the tractor) to dig us out.
It't pretty...but very problematic.
and I WOULD NOT go out and drive roads in those conditions either. I too STAY PUT.
Snow? Ugh! We got the wind here, too, in AZ. And dust! The tree pollen is extremely high, too! My allergies are acting up!
Looks like what we had last night. Luckily I was able to hunker down early. This morning however, sunshine? So goes springtime in UT.
For the record, if it looked like your morning when I got up, I woulda stayed home too!
