In our valley!
I spied this Buzzard, on my way to work the other morning, sitting on a neighbors fence post.
I had to be sneaky and put the window down quietly to get a few shots of the very stoic bird.
At one point it flew from one post to another and the wing span on this guy was amazing!
They have such an odd head compared to the rest of their big body!

I enlarged the picture and I thought also he had a funny lookin' head. It is kind of an ugly rascal up close and personal.
Very cool. We have Turkey buzzards here, not as big as this guy but just as weird looking.
Fantastic shot.
We have a new kind of buzzard with white under their wings...they are attacking calves as they are born. I suspect, by the farmer's code, they will not last long.
Incredible capture! Amazing raptor.
Their heads are so weird looking and featherless so they are able to reach deep into rotting, maggot-filled carcasses without worrying about soiling and damaging their feathers. Nice, huh? ewww!
