Beautiful Strawberries!
A traveling produce vendor, selling strawberries, stopped in town yesterday.
I was unaware of this, but thankfully my friend K stopped and picked up some berries from him.
She was so sweet to share some with us.
Oh My! These berries were so luscious and full of flavor!
We had them for breakfast along with muffins and bacon.
For me, strawberries signal the beginning of spring.
Although the weather here has not been very spring like at all!

Too early for our berries but enjoying them from the freezer.
Cutie is really excited about strawberry season. She could eat them all day long!
Mmmmm! For me berries mean summer. When we lived in South Carolina, we made sure to visit the U-Pick farms every summer and bring home boxes and boxes of berries for eating, making jam and freezing. I would just park myself in a row and pick one for the basket.....two for me. lol! I usually ended up with a red stained butt, too. But came home with lots of fond memories.
