I Had Big Plans............
I had big plans for my day today...........I was going to get a series of posts for my blog started this morning.....didn't happen. A neighbor called to see if I could watch their little girl for a little while this morning while daddy baled hay. He brought her over to me this morning.........little M is such a sweetie........and she smelled so good........I could have held her all day and just smelled her to pieces..........as it was, we sat on the floor and rolled or tossed the balls in the toy basket back and forth to each other most of the morning.........she has the sweetest giggle........I just wanted to make her giggle all morning...........after she went home, I was going to get on the computer, but Countrychick was still doing her daily schoolwork. ( we homeschool and her program for tenth grade is computer based, so she hogs the computer most of the day....=) So I went off and did other things. Later in the afternoon, my 4-H cooking club girls came over to help chop up veggies that are going into a pasta salad that we are making for a wedding tomorrow. A friends son is getting hitched and our 4-H cooking group is in charge of making pasta salad for 100 people! All the veggies were chopped, put into baggies and tucked safely away in the fridge. After the girls went home it was time to think about dinner.......the phone rang.......it was K. Hayman's bosses' wife...........Hayman and Boss are gone for the weekend...........scouting for elk..........K. wanted to know if Countrychick and I would like to have pizza for dinner........yummie.......I won't have to cook..........she brought pizza from town, I made a salad and we had a little glass of wine. She also brought sinful breadsticks for us to eat..............they needed to be removed from my sight..........I ate way to many of them, but they were soooooooooooo goooooooooood!! Countrychick, K and I started boiling up all of the pasta for the pasta salad......Let me tell ya, we boiled a lot of pasta! Then we got a few other ingredients ready for the salad...........tomorrow morning, I just have to toss everything into the big rubbermaid tote that we are mixing it all in, snap on the lid and head off to the wedding. K. will be doing hair for the bride, her attendants, mother-in-law.......etc.......did I mention that K. is a stylist........she is my stylist, ( my other stylist lives in Oregon ) my friend and Hayman's bosses' wife............So K., her girls, Countrychick and I will be off to the wedding early tomorrow morning with pasta salad and hair supplies in tow..................Maybe I will get to those series of posts on Sunday...........maybe I will have wedding photos to post........maybe it's really, really late and I need to go to bed.............but wait........what am I going to wear to the wedding????? It is 11:45 P.M...........not the time to be thinking about wedding attire...........Its a ranch wedding........maybe I can get off easy and wear a nice pair of jeans...........I will think about this all night and not sleep.................There is thunder rolling in the distance......are we going to have a midnight thunder storm............guess we'll find out...........I will leave you with this parting shot..........sweet dreams.
Desert Sunset.........taken sometime in late summer of 2006.

Wow Lady! What a day you had! And you enjoyed every minute of it I could tell! Even.......
down to eating P-I-Z-Z-A!
I NEVER get P-I-Z-Z-A!
That is one food I crave, & no homemade is not the same as one made at a P-I-Z-Z-A shop! Now why did you even mention the 'P' word....
I'm going to go nuts! May have to find some valium...or cow pies or something!!
Thanks, a heap!

Enjoy the wedding tomorrow! Outdoors with thunder rolling in?
Hmmmmm....
Ok...I thought I was addicted to "....." but I think you win! LOL! Love your blog!
Your reading list gave me some good ideas...I LOVED Twenty Wishes. Debbie Maccomber is such a great author. I loved Between Friends too. You should try that one if you haven't already!
Hi Scrappy girl,
Thank you for stopping in. I just loved Twenty Wishes, I could read it again and again. Between Friends was a wonderful book. I'm an avid reader....=)

Hi W.O.W,
Sorry, I will never mention PIZZA again.......he, he. We don't get "take out" pizza ( oops! ) very often, I usually make it from scratch....so when we do get it from town, it is such a TREAT.....=) We had a good thunderstorm last night....I fell asleep to the sound of thunder and rain......I hope it doesn't do that at the wedding today!
You are busy. I love that picture of the sky. Beautiful.
