They arrived yesterday.
After a scare with the post office, some phone calls to locate them and irate words from me!
These little cuties ended up being hand delivered to me!
Sometimes it pays to be the squeaky wheel or in my case the irate, annoying crazy chicken lady!
In a nut egg shell, they were lost in transit.
They had been scanned out of their final sort area and supposedly were headed to our post office.
They didn't arrive!
After many phone calls, they were finally located at their last stop.
They had been scanned out for delivery, but never made it on the truck.
They were sitting on a shelf in the cold!
Long story short, one of the postal employee's that works in our local PO was in Reno for training.
She somehow heard about what had happened and called me to let me know she had my chicks and was bringing them to me from Reno.
They arrived safe and sound yesterday evening.
All sixteen little chicks greeted me with excited peeping when I lifted the lid on the box.
It has been eight years since we have raised chicks.
I had forgotten just how cute and fluffy they are.
And all that peeping....
So cute too!

Adorable. I see you have a mixed batch.
When I received chickens for someone I would call them immediately and bring the chicks into the warm part of the building.
Some people don't have a clue how to handle lives. It's things like this that give the business a bad name. The Postal employee was very kind to deliver.
I'm so glad that the chicks were not left in that truck! I always had one or more that I hand raised growing up so I have a soft heart for chickens.
I like your new header.
