Sunset Kick

Who doesn't love a pretty sunset!
I've been on a sunset photo taking "kick" lately.

All of these photos were taken from the same area on different evenings over the past week.
As I travel home from work each evening and top the rise that leads into our valley, the view of the sunset is almost always a surprise.
Even when the sky is cloudless, the fading light is pretty.

 Taken 2/28
“Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.”
Rabindranath Tagore ~

Taken 3/1
“Can you see the sunset real good on the West side? You can see it on the East side too.”
~ S.E. Hinton, The Outsiders ~

Taken 3/5
“Soon it got dusk, a grapy dusk, a purple dusk over tangerine groves and long melon fields; the sun the color of pressed grapes, slashed with burgandy red, the fields the color of love and Spanish mysteries.”
~ Jack Kerouac, On the Road ~
