Where the buffalo roam

and the deer

and the antelope play.

Okay, we don't have any buffalo roaming around the valley.

But we do have deer and plenty of antelope.

Last weekend as we headed over to the range gravel pit to do a little target shooting,

we spotted this large group of lopes just outside the farm.

I was handed the nearest camera which happened to belong to my sis.

It's a Cannon Power Shot something or other...I can't remember exactly, but with camera in hand

     I commenced to do a little drive by shooting.

I had the camera all zoomed in when they spotted me.

 They took off running, so I took off driving and following.

The chase was on.

We went down the road a ways and they slowed down a bit.

And then they were off again on a dead run. They did this zig-zag run which cracked us up.

Antelope are not known for being very smart. Sometimes they will run right along side the car for miles!

They were at a full run when I shot this and we were moving too.

A fun little drive by shooting with a camera that has a darn good stablizer feature!

It was a beautiful day and pefect for a variety of various shooting opportunities.
