Monday Monday

Mondays are not my favorite!
I don't really like them much at all!
I never understood what people meant when they would say, "I live for the weekend."
I SO get that saying now!
Not that I or we do anything wild or exciting on the weekends, but now, I do live for my "own" time to just be!
Having the job I have has opened my eyes to a lot of things!
Some of those things are good, others, not so much!
Ugh!

My weekend was quiet.
Enjoyed a couple of very nice, relaxing evenings in front of the fire!
Did the usual household chores.
We took my mom out to dinner on Saturday evening to celebrate her birthday.
She turned 83 years young on Friday!
I didn't have to cook!
The meal was good!
Bonus...I didn't have a gluten reaction to anything!
Best part...mom really enjoyed herself!
Smile!

Saturday morning I walked out the front door with camera in hand to snap a few pics.
On the way back in the house I noticed the rooster hanger by the door.
I see this hanger every day, but never once have I noticed its shadow before.
Cool!

Okay....gotta go make peace with Monday and move on with it!

I used to feel that way about Mondays too....but heck, now I have to look at my computer to know what day it is! Sad, I know.
Glad your Mom enjoyed her Bday dinner! My Mom turned 84 Dec 23 but she was in Minn, so I didn't get to help her celebrate

I just love that rooster, and the shadow is a bonus!

BTW, I "tagged" you on my blog. Come visit and see.

I think shadows are so beautiful.
I used to hate Mondays too..but now that I am retired, and hubby retired.....every day is a friday or saturday.
There are wonderful things for sure about being retired, but I also have days I miss getting all gussied up and going downtown to the courthouse to work like I did in Salt Lake City.
But then I remember, that would require going through a Monday (tee, hee)

always good to have your camera in hand
we had 2 bull moose run across our field today. I didn't take a photo as they were a little far away and it doesn't have a great zoom on it.

Good for you noticing the little details like that shadow. Perhaps the light is hitting it differently due to the time of year?

Happy Birthday to your Mom!
