Just a Titch

We woke up yesterday morning to a "titch" of snow on the ground.
Less than an inch!
This is the first snow of 2012.
Rather pathetic, but rather pretty to see!
We have not had any moisture in our area since the end of November!
Sunday brought high winds and blowing dust/sand to the area.
The winds ushered in a change in the pressure system and now the forecast is calling for additional storms to hit our area this week.
Only time will tell what they will actually bring in the way of much needed moisture!
Maybe just another titch...but a tad more would be helpful!

Since yesterday was MLK Day, I was off work.
So I didn't have to drive on icy roads!
I got to stay home and enjoy the warmth of a nice, cozy fire!

Perfect timing for the snow! I do not like driving in it at all.

We have had four dustings this year but none to stay more than a day.

We have had about 5 inches in the last few days. However, it was the first snow we had this year. I just stay in the warm and blog or curl up with a good book, or what I hope will be a good book.

Great photo! I hope your area gets the moisture it needs, without any bad storms tagging along.

RIght now, I am looking out my window and expecting flakes to start dropping any minute. Actually kinda ticked about it. Not a snow lover.

We got hammered today! Our first snow of the year - it took so long to get here.
I am betting you got some today too!

Sounds like our weather last year, except we didn't get any moisture for close to a year!
This winter has been crazy...it's been 40 days since we got our first snowfall, and the two blizzards afterwards...and, there is still hard packed snow and ice on the ground in huge patches. And everywhere else there is deep, greasy, boot sucking mud. This is not typical New Mexico weather at all.
Today we started getting some extreme winds, too, upwards of 50-60 mph wind gusts! My house is literally vibrating and quivering from the onslaught.

Lovely photo of your titch of snow, by the way.

Howdy, I am over here visiting you from Cheri's blog (Bakow) I always like to drop in and meet new people and their blogs.

M-Cat is another gal I blog with all the time. We have had lunch together, but I haven't met Cheri yet.

My son and his family just moved to RENO this past summer. Are you close to their. I was talking to him just this morning and he said they had a big snowstorm.

we haven't had much snow to speak of either, but been DANG cold. This week we should be above zero....gosh, I think I'll bring out the lawnchairs.

the title of your blog is hysterical. love it.
