Sunday ~ Catch-Up

I'll keep it short cause I wouldn't want to put anyone to sleep with the boringness of this post.
I'm pretty sure that boringness is not a word, but I don't care!
I'm using the husband's computer...I hate the keyboard on it!
It's off center and I end up typing words all wrong....Hate it!

Work is still keeping me within its busy grasp!
Usually this time of year is rather quiet and slow, but I don't see that as being the case for some time to come yet!
I got hit with an unexpected letter on Friday evening, which made me Flip Out!
The person before me didn't follow through with setting up several committees that are important to the running of our programming not only at the county level, but the state and national level! I'm just now finding out what the repercussions are and what will happen if I don't get on this ASAP and fix the situation!
My boss was already gone when the memo came in, but I can almost bet he is going to have a Major Melt Down on Monday when he sees it!

Okay...moving on.
My camera has been riding around in the car with me, but I haven't taken many photos in the past few weeks. So when I put my SD card in the computer this morning I was surprised to find these images.
I had taken them and forgot about them!

The photo below was taken just after deer season closed in our valley in early November.
I was on my way to work and this buck walked right out in front of me to cross the road.
I had to scramble to find my camera and ended up grabbing my point and shoot out of my purse.
I was please to see that I got a pretty good shot of him walking away from me.
I just noticed in the background of this photo there was a herd of deer moving off in the distance.
I didn't see them that morning, but he was headed to join them.
We have had several snow storms blow through over the past few weeks!
Friday evenings was the worst by far!
By the time we left town to head home after work, you couldn't see a thing for all of the blowing snow!
It was pitch black out and the snow was blowing sideways!
Countrychick was with me and she knew my stress level was going through the roof!
I HATE driving in snow and driving in it at night is HORRIBLE!
The roads were TERRIBLE! People were spun out all over the place and many of them were off the road in the ditch! I might or might not have had a minor panic attack...and I damn well know I forgot to breathe several times!
We finally made it home safe and sound!
I won't ever drive in conditions like that again!

The photo below was taken two weeks ago on a Saturday evening.
The moon was full and the mountains were dusted with a powder sugar topping!
One thing I really like about the weekends....
The warm, cozy fires in the fire place!
A cozy fire is a nice stress buster for sure!
And a glass of wine really helps too!

The beginning of this post was so full of stressful stuff! I was feeling a little stressed myself. Eeek!
I hope that you're able to get things smoothed out and organized with that work situation. This isn't coming to you at a good time of year, is it? gah!
I avoid driving in snowy/icy conditions. Road conditions around here especially terrify me, and the way folks that move here from places like California and don't know how to drive in it, are just plain reckless and in a hurry.
We could back on our all commitments during the winter and stock up on soup, hot cocoa, tea and yes...wine!

I love that last photo. It leaves me in a more relaxed state now. :)

Thanks for the updates.
Happy Thanksgiving to you. We're having ours today because hubby will be in Phoenix working on Thursday.

The pics are great and this very night, I am having Splenda build a fire in the fireplace. Love it!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
