I Shall Call Him...

Wile E. Coyote!
This young coyote pup has been hanging around the farm lately.
He stays in the fields chasing voles, mice and gophers.
Just before this photo was taken he was pouncing like a playful pup through the alfalfa.
I suspect he was chasing dinner!

He watched us for a bit...
And then returned to the business of finding his dinner.

Aren't babies cute? I think baby everythings are just wonderful to look at and enjoy!

Now, when they become adults...

Cute pix! Thanks for sharing!

Let's hope the field remains full of food for him.

We've had coyotes around here in the past. Never close enough to get a photo, though.

Now, how did I get here? Oh, yes, via your comment on the Laughing Orca Ranch.

This blog looks like a place where I'd like to visit for a while. I like your book list.

And we have a coyote who comes around most mornings to check the latch on our chicken house. I hope he doesn't mind sharing his world with me, but I have my fingers crossed for my three little hens.

Love your quotes. Off to visit some more of your posts.

Not gonna lie - the coyotes freak me out! I get a little freaked in the Nevada desert that our car will break down, I won't have cell service and the coytoes will eat my face off.

I have to agree with M-Cat - Coyotes really freak me out a bit. We camped at a lake last summer and when the sun went down there was a whole pack of them across the lake. Scared me to death and I was glad to be in a camper.

He is a cute little guy though.

Well, as long as he hunts out there...and not near your chickens. I love the sounds of coyotes at night....as long as they don't get too close :)
