He appeared out of nowhere on Tuesday at our office building.
He hung around the flower bed and roamed the lawn in search of bugs.
You couldn't get very close to him which means he probably wasn't use to people.
I snuck around the flower bed on Wednesday to see if I could get a few photos.
Breed: Bantam Polish. Variety: White crested black.
His tail feathers were a bit tattered, but other than that, he was a pretty boy!
He had a healthy crow as well!
One of our 4-H poultry groups had a meeting on Wednesday afternoon at the office.
One of the youth caught the rooster and looked him over.
The Mystery Rooster found a home.
A Happy Ending for an abandoned bird!
(we suspect that someone dumped him at our office)

I kinda want a rooster in my back yard, because I like their early morning crows. However, Splenda Daddy would put the kibosh on that pretty quick
I think that is a really pretty rooster. Why would someone dump him? Poor thing.
I am glad he found a home. I always wanted some chickens and roosters and my kids always loved to lug them around at the County Fair. Ha ha
Oh my! I will never own another Polish rooster again after my previous golden-laced Polish spurred me in the arm while I was petting a hen.
Several other people I've met who have Polish roos have said the same thing about that breed's rooster aggressiveness. Maybe that's why the fellow was abandoned?
Don't you have polish chickens?

I love, love, love that you would have a rooster wandering aimlessly about outside your work! Glad he found a good home...
