Father's Day

I'd like to think that I have kept my father young all these years, but he would probably disagree with me on that one.
In fact, I'm sure he would tell you I'm the reason he has gray hair. He, he, he...

I remember riding on his shoulders when I was little.
Him teaching me how to fish.
Catching "rainbow" fish off a boat dock in Arkansas.
Trips to Disneyland and Knots Berry Farm.
Teaching me how to ride a bike.
Taking me to Rosie's for a soda now and then (bet you didn't think I remembered that).
Playing catch in the front yard...which didn't go well. I got a bloody nose and I don't think I ever played catch again. (sports were not my thing...lol)
Buying me orange crush soda In glass bottles when we went to the local gas station. (I think it was the Texaco station)
Grumbling loudly when I wanted a horse, but I got that horse. =)
Showing support and love in his own way even when I screwed up.

Introducing me to the world of wine. Thanks Dad, I'm now a wino! Ha, ha
Taking my children on very long vacations and showing them places they might not otherwise have seen.
I could go on, but mostly I just want to say...
Thank you dad for being you!

Happy Father's Day!

What a great tribute!

I lost my Dad when I was 14 so I am missing many years of memories, but the gas station trips for a soda were common with us too!
