Ice Spikes

We woke up to freezing fog this morning.
I went outside in my pjs and took photos.
A brisk way to start the morning.

I thought of Gail and her sister Marcy as I took the pictures.
Marcy captures some beautiful ice formation photos!

Can anyone guess what the last photo is?

That is so cool. I have never seen anything like that. I have no idea what that last photo is.

AWESOME pictures! Are you allowed to enter any in the fair? :D

I LOVE pogonip. That's what we call it. It's a Shoshone word meaning "White Death." Is that an antenna is the last photo? Looks similar to the one on our van this morning!

Wow!!!!!!!!! Is the last picture a plant? I have no idea.

I love the humor in liquid cooled. These shots are fantastic. I never thought to name them...I shall remember, Ice Spikes.

Stay warm!

Thanks for the comments everyone. I had fun taking the photos.

Cocoa you are right, it is the antenna on Haymans truck. I stood and looked at it for the longest time before I snapped the photo. I was fascinated by it! We call it pogonip too or hoars frost, but yesterday "Spikes" kept popping into my head and that is what I used for the title.

Yes, I can enter photos in the fair and a couple of these might just be on my list...=)

That is WILD! I've never seen those before. I wonder how those are formed. Probably in weather too cold for me!
