Things were going to settle down and return to normal (whatever "normal" is!) I received a hand delivered summons for Jury Duty starting on Tuesday! I guess this is a big trail for our community and there will be 80 of us present on Tuesday for the start of the selection process. Now please excuse me while I go book a flight for some far away destination to escape my civic duty.....and I don't even fly!

Oh man - I totally believe in our civic duty but there are just some times of the year when it's worse than others. If I got called for Jury duty in November or December I would faint - I already am so loaded with stuff to do.

Maybe everyone will plea bargain and you will not have to serve.
Maybe they will excuse you, if you tell them you are a very busy woman. Well, it was just a thought.
