As they came out of the cooking oil, I dropped them in a bag of Cinnamon sugar. Yummy, Yummy goodness!
The frosting is a butter cream, an easy recipe that I have used for years. It is so good, you don't even need anything to spread it on!
The frosting covered Hayman's favorite cherry-chip cake! The sugar cookies are an old time favorite in our house. The recipe came from my mom and again, I have been making them for over twenty years now!
We had sweet treats to enjoy all week. It was a busy week indeed and coming home to some extra goodies was nice.

Can you send that bug my way? With this hot weather I haven't been in the mood to bake. I better not show your scrumptious goodies to my husband and son....they would be jealous as all get out. Homemade donuts sounds really good....something I haven't made for years. Thank you for putting the bug in my head, anyway. Take care! I hope the weather is better in your area.
Right now I wish you were my neighbour.....I thought the dounuts were my favorite until I saw the cake and icing.....

That is a great bug to get bitten by! I have a feeling that I'll be bitten again soon, it happens frequently.
Yum! And triple yum! I love it when the cooking or baking bug bites, but my waistline does not! Good job!
Maybe that is what I should do, since I've moved to Wisconsin that is one thing that I miss. A good Donut; or even a good donut shop. There just aren't any around here.
How do your home made ones compare to donut store bought donuts? I'd have to come up with some good chocolate icing, as those raised glazed with chocolate are my absolute favorite!
