Toast To Tuesday.....Snow!

Toast To Tuesdays was created by Adventure Girl.........Today I am toasting to SNOW! Remember awhile back when I posted about wanting snow.......well be careful what you wish for. The snow started late Sunday night and we woke up to about five inches on the ground Monday morning. The roads were very bad yesterday morning, so Hayman drove me to work and then drove back again in the evening to pick me up. He was worried about the icy conditions of the roads and all of the crazy drivers out there. I love him more then words can say!! This morning, I drove myself to work and the roads were still very icy and slick.
This is what it looked like yesterday morning on the way to work.....
Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow........

Wow! Those are some bad roads. I hate driving in the winter...I usually stay home since I don't work outside the home.

Lucky Girl! I wish we would get some snow around here. We've had alot of rain lately but no snow yet. Here's hoping.

Obviously our storm picked up some ummphh by the time it got to you. It has been bitterly cold but, like you, I'm grateful to finally have some snow. I'm rather paranoid about 'the water year'. You'd think *I* was a rancher/farmer the way I watch the little graph all winter.

Nice post and photo! Though I don't know if I'm up to toasting SNOW! We received a new supply last night......it postponed all basketball games and activities in the area. More (10 inches!) is forcast for tomorrow and Friday, so I am venturing to town today to try and get some Christmas shopping done!

Please drive SAFE always!

Hello Ladies,

We of course need way more snow then this little amount....as our water table is very low. But I can only deal with a few inches at a time...he, he.

Jeannelle,

10 inches of snow in one storm would make this gal stay home from work!I think if we got that much at one time, it would shut our little town down...they wouldn't know what to do! The most we have ever had at one time since we have lived here is about 8 inches...and that caused some major headaches!! Drive safely while you are out finishing up your Christmas shopping.

Oregontribal.....it was minus 2 here this morning and it was 3 degrees when I drove to work....burrrrr!!!! Our high will only be in the low 20's today!

Chickens DO NOT like the snow so much.....they need little chicken booties.....=D

Ice, ice, ice. Very slick and cold here this week. Your snow looks lovely though.

lol! Chicken booties. What a fabulous idea!

And you've got yourself a wonderful Hayman to drive you to work and chaperone you over that icy snow.
I avoid driving in snow, too. Mainly because I only have a van without 4-wheel drive AND only rear wheel drive. I ALWAYS get stuck. :P

And it's usually in my own driveway, too. lol!

Stay warm and be safe :)
