CREEEEEEEPY..............

Thea dora to my web is open...............
Isn't she a beauty! I spotted her several weeks ago over in the shop. I sat and watched her for over thirty minutes as she repaired her web. I came back later in the evening to snap some photos. Countrychick walked over to the shop with me. She started doing the creepy spider dance when she saw our little friend here. I had to get pretty darn close in order to take the photos and Countrychick was behind me the whole time saying things like.....mom, don't get any closer.....Mom, your to close......MOm, that thing is freaking me out......MOM, THAT SPIDER JUST MOVED.....and then she ran screaming from the building. Countrychick HATES any kind of spider! While snapping photos, I decided to name our little friend here, Theadora. The name seemed very fitting.
Notice the very large red hour-glass on her tummy..........I have seen a lot of Black Widows over the years, but I had never seen one with such a vivid and pronounced hour-glass. Do you have the willies yet from looking at the photo??????? Look out.......she might get you!!!
Have a Spooktacular Halloween!

Oh I love the name! Who have thought to name a spider! I think black widows have gotten a bum rap! ..wink..
Actually, they facinate me! Their black round shiny shape...and long legs. Much prefer them to the Brown recluse...those I don't waste a millisecond on getting a photo of...squash they'd be!

Hi Sis, Great chatting with you today on the phone....glad you love that caramel....=) Countrychick is usually the Spidey Terminator in this house.....;D

Hello Ranch, Thank you for stopping in and leaving a comment. I will get over to check out your blog....our son is not to hip on spiders and has been known to scream like a girl as well....he is 22 yrs old!!

Hey Scrappy, Loved your costume....he, he Don't worry, Theadora is no longer living in the shop. But she really did fascinate me that day.

Hello Tammy, Glad you stopped by today. Glad to know you like my blog....I will go check yours out too....=) Happy weekend to you as well.

Howdy W.O.W, I'm glad you didn't find me looney for naming the spider....;) She was just so pretty and I could not resist snapping photos of her. I DO NOT like those darn brown recluse spiders, they freak me out!! Spiders get a bum rap all around, so I try to tolerate the good ones when I can. Have a great weekend....think of you often and wish we lived near each other.....=)

Hey there Oregon, How could someone mistake a cute little ladybug for a bee???? Some people....he, he, he. Sounds like you had fun dressing up today. Hope you are enjoying your favorite day of the year.....=D

Okay everyone, I'm off to take a bunch of teenagers trick or treating........Should be a fun evening.

Sorry but I don't see the cute in that nasty thing. I have a pretty big aversion to spiders......AAAgh. Afraid it would be squishy squishy for Ms. Theadora. I am heartless, I know.
