Thought I would share a few of the photos that Countrychick and I entered in the fair last weekend. All of the following photos received blue ribbons except one and it received a purple ribbon......which means it was a pretty darn good photo. Countrychick enters her photos in the 4-H category, I enter mine in the open adult class.

I took this photo while on a fishing trip.....I chased this little guy around for an hour! Blue Ribbon.

Countrychick came in from the garden one day with this little guy on the tip of her finger. He provided an excellent photo opportunity............She held him while I snapped away. The photo won a purple ribbon!

Oh, thanks for showing us the Fair photo entries! Fun to see. I probably would have given ALL of them a purple ribbon! But, that bug photo is quite amazing.....the details are certainly visible....especially the eyes. You should go see the praying mantis on KatesPhotoADay blog.....here, I'll practice doing a link within a comment:

Thank you for the link to katesPictureADay.....what a wonderful photo of the praying mantis. Funny, because just this past week, we found a praying mantis in our car on a carseat that I was using for our bosses children. I removed it, put it on the side of the house and went about my day. Later in the day, I found it outside the front door, so I grabbed the camera and took some photos. Have not downloaded them yet to the computer, but will do asap and post a photo tomorrow.
OOOOOHH I really love the picture of the 3 sheep, trees and the door. Really nice composition, it is very pleasing to look at. Where was this? I love them all. by the way I am at giggleattack@yahoo.com
