I think that setting up a blog is a lot harder then it sounds. In fact, I know it is!! I'm computer illiterate, so this blog thing is HARD!! Okay, I know that it probably is not hard at all, I'm just slow to pick up on it all. So tell me why I have spent the last two hours trying in vain to get the photo to shrink in my header. I know it is way to big and I've tried all the little tricks....or maybe I haven't, but I still can't get the darn thing to shrink down. Oh well, guess I'll have a glass of wine and stare at the page some more. Maybe I will have a lightbulb moment!! Ohhh, do I hear thunder rumbling in the distance??? Might just have to turn off the computer and figure this out later..........Yep, its thunder!

Your header photo is lovely. I've been frustrated at times, too, with uploading photos onto the blog. If you want to keep the entire photo as it is, have you tried resizing the photo in your editing software. I had to do that with my header photo of the tractor.
Also, you could think about cropping off some of the photo.....such as some of the gravel road at the bottom, and maybe a wee bit of the sky....to shorten the height of the photo, so it would fit, better, possibly.
Or perhaps, I'm all wrong, and your photo is already shrunk from what it was.......it IS beautiful the way it is.
And, cool......you have a green playlist music box.....so do I! And, we have a few of the same songs.....Little Wonders, Desperado, Say.....
